My kids love to draw and colour. I can’t think of a day that passes when they’re not doodling, making thoughtful little notes and drawings for me, or filling colouring books with pretty colours.
What if one colouring sheet from your child could help support kids with cancer?
Well, there is a way to do it!
Great Blue Resorts, a group of eight family-friendly Park Model Cottage™ resorts in Southern Ontario’s cottage country, is thrilled to launch #Colour4CampOoch, a province-wide kids colouring contest and major fundraising campaign to support Camp Oochigeas (Ooch), a privately funded, volunteer-based organization that provides kids with and affected by childhood cancer with magical camp experiences.
“Our mission is to help our owners create unforgettable cottage memories with their families, so helping Camp Ooch continue their amazing work of providing similar experiences for children who deserve them most is a perfect fit. We want to see 25,000 Ontario kids submit colouring sheets to help kids just like them who are affected by cancer,” said Chris Chew, Marketing Director for Great Blue Resorts.
For every #Colour4CampOoch colouring sheet completed by a child and uploaded to http://www.greatblueresorts.com/Colour4Ooch by an adult with a unique email address between May 1st and August 31st, 2015, Great Blue Resorts will donate $1 to Camp Oochigeas, up to $25,000. Colouring sheets are available for free PDF download online, at all Great Blue Resorts locations, at all Pickle Barrel locations and all Turtle Jack’s Muskoka Grill locations throughout Ontario
Each unique colouring submission will be entered into a draw to win a week-long family getaway at a Great Blue Resort and dozens of other prizes including restaurant gift cards and a Playstation to be drawn at the end of the summer. Once submitted, adults can easily share their children’s artwork with friends and family through email, Facebook or Twitter.
The #Colour4CampOoch fundraising campaign extends beyond the colouring contest to include 50/50 draws at all eight Great Blue Resorts locations throughout the summer, a golf tournament held at Great Blue Resorts’ Bellmere Winds Resort on June 25, 2015 and a percentage of all Great Blue Resorts merchandise sales to be donated to Camp Oochigeas. Great Blue Resorts plans to donate a minimum of $50,000 this season.
