Whether it’s the strong resourcefulness of Tiana, Belle’s unfailing belief that all things will work out, the humble heart and kindness of Cinderella, or the gutsy and and independently-minded Rapunzel, these special Disney Princesses we have come to know and love for generations are wonderful examples and role models for our children.

In each Disney Princess tale, the same message is clear and admirable: Dream Big.

Although these cherished Princess stories have passed along through generations, children’s play patterns are changing. Today’s consumers are looking for more fluidity in their play, and the opportunity to take charge of their storytelling.  In discovering this, Hasbro has worked closely with Disney to develop a new Disney Princess line that gives kids ways to do that while staying true to each Princess’s unique attributes and story.

Both my daughter and I were ecstatic to learn that two of our favourite brands have united to bring this sweet and empowering vision into the homes and hearts of little princesses (and princes) everywhere.

Each month till the end of the year, I will be featuring some of the lovely new princess dolls & play-sets including some fun giveaways!

This month, I received three amazing toys which included:

  • Disney Princess OMBRE FASHION DOLL – RAPUNZEL, $17.99
  • Disney Princess SMALL DOLL RAPUNZEL’S TOWER, $29.99
  • Disney Princess SMALL DOLL COLLECTION PACK, $34.99

My daughter and nieces absolutely loved these new collection of Disney Princess dolls/play-sets!

The favourite amongst us all (me included) had to the Royal Sparkle Collection which is part of the Disney Princess little Kingdom collection.

We were so smitten by them and I loved how very similar to the Disney Princess characters they all were.  The set comes with small snap-on accent pieces like flowers or bows that you can insert onto each princess and mix and match.

Because they are part of the little Kingdom collection, they are able to be used across all of the little Kingdom sets, including the Small Doll Rapunzel’s Stylin’ Tower.

As mentioned, the snap-on’s are quite small so my only concern for these toys is the choking hazard.  This is why they specified ages 4+ on the packaging.  Just keep an eye out on the little ones.

And if your child loves dolls, they will just love this line-up of Disney x Hasbro Fashion Dolls!  We received Tangled’s Rapunzel Ombre Fashion Doll which is fitting to the ombre craze that’s so hot right now too!  My niece loves Rapunzel and styling hair, so she really adored this doll to add to her cherished collection.  This doll came with a beautiful ombre outfit and shoes.  You can also collect all 11 dolls!

Rapunzel: I’ve been looking out of a window for eighteen years, dreaming about what I might feel like when those lights rise in the sky. What if it’s not everything I dreamed it would be?
Flynn Rider: It will be.
Rapunzel: And what if it is? What do I do then?
Flynn Rider: Well, that’s the good part I guess. You get to go find a new dream.

Overall, I loved this new line-up of Disney Princesses and play-sets and think they are fantastic toys for princess lovers with vivid imaginations and big dreams!  Aside from the really small pieces which can be a choking hazard or easily lost (I always wish sets with small pieces included a keepsake storage container), these were a big hit!  So much so that I kind of had to beg my daughter to keep the small doll collection for myself (hey, I LOVE the original Princesses! And tiny ones are extra special!) and she so kindly obliged and let me keep them (given she could play with them whenever she wanted). Deal!

So, since I loved the Small Doll Collection so much, I am giving one away to a lucky reader!
