It’s the month we celebrate our beautiful country and when it’s totally condonable to be a big kid once again and squeal over fireworks, dance around with sparklers and funky-looking head gear or glasses that light up at night and indulge in copious amount of s’mores while donning your favourite red and white fashion. Or that may just be me.

I fully support all things Canada and a great way to do that very easily is by advocating our Canadian artists — in all industries.  Whether it’s the film or music industry, the arts, fashion or food, simply taking part and showing interest in what they have to offer is of great acclamation.

We are Netflix-ers (if that’s even a word) or you can say we are part of the #StreamTeam and I am loving the wonderful list of Canadian Titles.  Many of which I grew up with and watched in my younger years.

Who here remembers being spooked silly by Are you Afraid of the Dark?

There was also Goosebumps but nearly not as creepy as Are you Afraid of the Dark was.  I would totally be scared watching it to this day as an adult.  I still remember the feeling I got when they threw the sand into the bonfire, smoke rising up and saying the title of the episode. So creepy! Many nights I was unable to sleep after watching an episode but that’s alright because I enjoy being spooked.  Oh, and a young Ryan Gosling was in it too.  Another thing of beauty from Canada. 🙂

  3. Black Hole High
