Gone are the days when giving gift cards were considered impersonal and detached.
I’ve always much preferred Gift Cards as it offered me not only the chance to choose whatever I wanted, but an excuse to sneak out of the house alone for a couple of hours with a green tea latte in hand perusing mall store shelves in peace and quiet.

What if I told you that there was a service out there that took it a hundred notches higher?
LifeExperiences.ca offers a line of unique gift cards that provides you with access to hundreds of experiences across Canada from luxurious hotels, indulgent spas, thrilling adventures, family fun, sumptuous meals/wines tours/pairings or a challenging round of golf.

Oh yeah! Would I love to receive a LifeExperience gift!
Who wouldn’t appreciate a night at a beautiful hotel, a spa date, a delicious meal or even an exotic car rental or VIP experience?

So when I was asked by LifeExperiences to try them out – let’s just say they didn’t need to twist my arm on this.

The purchasing process for an Experience was very quick and easy.
You can browse experiences based on location in Canada (they currently offer LifeExperiences in Southern Ontario, Eastern Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan/Manitoba, Quebec and Atlantic Canada and looking to expand more!) or by Experience (i.e. Pamper/Spa, Family Fun, Dining/Entertainment, etc.).
They offer deals monthly, a gift finder and the option to send an e-Gift Certificate.
Once you select your Experience, you’ll also have a option to personalize the package by selecting offered images and a message to the recipient.
What’s great is that anything ordered from the website comes instantaneously — so it’s great for last minute gift-giving!
Currently they are accepting credit cards (MasterCard and Visa) for payment.
You can also find them in card form available at Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart, Longos, Sears and through RBC Rewards.

Once I received my gift certificate for the Elmwood Spa Couples Experience Retreat, all I had to do was print it out (in my case, my printer wasn’t working so I actually only needed to provide them with the Gift Certificate #).

My Elmwood Spa Couples Experience Retreat was perfection.
My husband and I find it so difficult to get away and have some time for ourselves with the age of our children and it’s just important to take that time out to recharge and rekindle those flames.
For only $250 + tax, my LifeExperience included:

  • 50 min Couples Swedish Massage
  • 3 course lunch for Two in the Terrace Restaurant
  • Water Therapies (swimming pool, whirlpool, steam rooms)

That is an AMAZING deal considering it would cost almost that just for one person at the Elmwood Spa for all included. The experience was one to never be forgotten.

First it took some time getting use to walking around on all 4 floors in just my robe and undergarments in a unisex spa, including eating my 3-course lunch, but once we got comfortable (and reminded ourselves that everyone else was pretty much in the same dress code), we were all good! 🙂

Check-in and check-out was extremely easy and convenient. And the scent once you step into the Spa just envelopes your senses putting you into instant tranquility mode.
The 3-course lunch was delicious and service was impeccable and fast, the water therapies was balmy and sedating (don’t forget your bathing suit if you want to swim!) and the massage was absolutely soothing.
We were led to a large, candle-lit room with two massage tables on each end of the room and the RMT’s ensured we were comfortable and relaxed throughout our entire massage.

It is truly a heavenly oasis and everyone that worked there was super professional and accommodating.
I would highly recommend this amazing LifeExperience! I’m already planning a girls day at the Spa here for Mother’s Day.

This was just one of the fantastic LifeExperiences you can purchase for yourself or someone you love on LifeExperiences.ca.
Take some time to give them a visit online to peruse the wonderful packages. I’m sure you’ll find something you love!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and they’ve got some really lovely romantic/intimate Experiences available to choose from. Tip: Leave the computer screen on to the Romantic/Intimate Packages and have your hubby sit in your place as you head off to “grab a drink”. Grab his attention by telling him that they also offer exotic car rentals, golf packages, and thrilling adventures!
Hopefully he gets the picture! *wink*wink*

69 Comments on Gift an Experience to Cherish with LifeExperiences.ca {Giveaway}

  1. As much as it would be nice for us to relax for once, I’d choose the Niagara Skydive Centre – Tandem Skydive. I’m afraid of heights and I’m always trying to push myself to get over my fears. We went ziplining 2 years ago and that was a cool experience. Hubby is always up for an adventure and proud that I want to face my fears. We’re going ziplining in Costa Rica in a few months. Can’t wait for that

  2. I wouldl love to do the Elmwood Spa – Experiences Retreat. With work stress ramping up a chance to relax would be lovely.

  3. Scandinavia Spa Experience at Whistler or the Fairmont Hotel Stay….because I am so in need of a stress relief out of the city at the moment. This is a lovely contest idea, thank you so much for this opportunity. We love you!

  4. Clearwater Seafood
    Intimate Seafood Dinner for Two
because ,unfortunately, there isn`t much choice of expericences there for atlantic Canada!

  5. The Tunnel Mountain Resort – Romantic Mountain Escape for Two in Banff looks so beautiful & not too far from home, I would probably choose that!

  6. I would pick the WINGS & SLICKS – STUNT DRIVING ADVENTURE FOR ONE because I have always wanted to do this since I found out this existed… approx 20+ years ago.

  7. I’d choose the Peter and Paul’s Gift Baskets – Goodie Delight because most of the other options are way out of our area and gift baskets are fun.

  8. I would like to try the Fly a Jet Airliner Simulator! because it would be interesting to feel like I was flying a plane.

  9. I would choose one of the Peter and Paul’s gift baskets so that my whole family could enjoy trying some delicious food.

  10. I’d pick the Absolute Royalty spa package at Absolute spa because it’s been SO long since I’ve been pampered just for me.

  11. I’d probably put it towards the Crowne Plaza Hotel – Rekindle Romance by the Falls package. We don’t get many weekends away so it would be a nice treat.

  12. I would choose the Clearwater Seafood
Intimate Seafood Dinner For Two because we have nothing planned for Valentines Day and it would be a huge surprise for my husband.

  13. I would pick the Maple Ridge Golf Club – Two Weekday Green Fees with Power Cart for my hubby because last year he did not get out golfing much and he deserves it

  14. I’d pick the VILLAGE WELLNESS SPAS – GREEN TEA ULTIMATE FACE AND BODY EXPERIENCE – I’ve been there before, and I think it’s just the thing to refresh my skin during this winter!

  15. I would pick the Granville Island tour package because we love going to Granville for Donuts with the kids, but I want to know more about this place in depth!

  16. I would pick the Bayview Wildwood Resorts for a romantic getaway with my boyfriend. We love exploring different parts of Ontario, plus it looks like a gorgeous place to go canoeing.
