Yes I am foodie blogger that writes a lot about food but it’s only been recently that I finally discovered that there are indeed quick snacks out there that can satisfy your hunger and actually taste good.
As a mother that works from out my home with a productive 5 year old and a very rambunctious 20 month old that is constantly needing my attention, multitasking to me has gone to a whole other level.
It is very hard for me to even just sit with a warm cup of coffee in silence, let alone prepare something to eat that’s not quick and yummy yet horribly unhealthy.
Thank you Maple Leaf® for creating your new Natural Selections® PROTINIS™!
I am not going to lie, I was extremely skeptical when I first heard of them. Oven Roasted Chicken Breasts packaged snacks? I’m already a tad bit of a chicken breast snob as I find it usually lacking in the flavour department (I need to have that zest!). It needs to be fresh and seasoned right for me to enjoy it.
PROTINIS™ snacks are available in eight flavours including Oven Roasted Chicken, Sweet Thai Chili Chicken, Mild Salsa Chicken, Honey Garlic Chicken, Oven Roasted Chicken and Cranberry, Oven Roasted Chicken and Superfruit, Oven Roasted Chicken and Mango, and Oven Roasted Chicken and Apple.
They are available at major grocery stores across Canada and retail for approximately $4.99. Each retail pack comes with two PROTINIS™ snacks. I would say that’s a really great deal having 2 in a pack for only $4.99.
My favourite flavour is the Mild Salsa Chicken. It is absolutely delicious!
So good that I can just throw it inside a piece of lettuce with low-fat sour cream and cilantro and instantly have a truly yummy lettuce wrap. I can eat a million of these – they are that good. Admittedly I am not a salad and veggie gal. I like meat and I am a major carb-a-holic and anything less would not satisfy me. I was able to minimize my carb intake without sacrificing taste at all – what a great feeling!
Sweet Thai Chili Chicken is amazing on salads and in wraps as well and alone for snacking, I also enjoy the Oven Roasted Chicken and Superfruit combo. I’m a new PROTINIS™ Fangirl!
