Sifting through the abundance of parenting magazines, What to Expect books and pamphlet handouts I tend to pick up at every OBGYN appointment, while sipping on cold chocolate milk (a favourite during my first pregnancy), I remember feeling like no matter how much I read and how many questions I asked my doctor, mom and friends, I still had many more questions I needed answered.
This didn’t change after my firstborn daughter was born, in fact I probably had more questions!
And this continued even with my son.
This was especially true while shopping for products that I needed for my little ones.
One of the things I remember like it was yesterday that I needed some help with during my buying experience was purchasing the right bottle for my baby. My firstborn had issues with gas and it upset her tummy. That made for sleepless nights and of course, a lot of worry and stress for me and my husband.
I wish there was someone that was able to guide me during that first trip to the store to find the right bottle for my baby.
A new service that has been added to select Walmart Canada baby departments will make it SO much easier for mom and dad.
How amazing would this have been when I was expecting?
This service will feature in-store specialists to provide support and product knowledge to new and expecting parents. This initiative follows last month’s announcement of its baby registry and resource centre available at Walmart.ca. You can learn more about the Baby Registry here.
On Tuesdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at select stores, shoppers can look for in-store specialists at the “Let’s Talk Baby” kiosk, and for the first three weeks, specialists will also be available on Thursdays.
This added support will be fantastic and very helpful, not just for parents but anyone looking to get better assistance when purchasing something for a baby.
Specialists will be equipped with tablets for easy access to the baby registry and Walmart.ca.
