Typically after the beautiful chaos of the Christmas holidays and the fleeting respite before the New Year, I like to take some time to just enjoy my surroundings, reflect and do some home re-organization.
Nothing too drastic, just enough to make the start of the new year “clean” — both literally and metaphorically. I look at it as a way of making room for new things ahead and clearing away of items that are inactive and we no longer use. A fresh start!

Ways that I usually do this without spending a whole lot of money that we no longer have after the holidays (ha!) is by rearranging furniture, and updating decor pieces throughout the house. Whether it’s purchasing a few new ones or just swapping the older ones around and/or adding some new photos to picture frames.
New art for my walls always does the job!
Wall art always instantaneously transforms any space.
One place I recently discovered and am completely enamored by due to their large online marketplace of beautiful art curated from independent artists is Minted.

Minted is an online marketplace connecting you with independent artists from all over the world. Minted connects you with the best independent artists to bring you endlessly fresh, truly unique art, stationery, and home decor you won’t find anywhere else.

The minute I started browsing the Minted website, I was like a kid in a candy shop. I have an insatiable affection for art. Especially fine and visual art. And Minted certainly quenched my art-thirst.
The great thing about their art is that Minted sources it’s pieces through on-going art competitions. I love that!
Plus ordering is super easy. I really appreciate that they provide actual and hi-res visual images of what the art piece looks like with or without frames and also the size comparisons so you get a better idea for your space.
You can choose different types of sizes and frames to suit your decor needs.

I ordered a beautiful abstract 16″ x 20″ limited edition art print called Saltwater Heart from Shelby Eckhardt with a white frame and two 11″ x 14″ beautiful floral watercolors from Sen Chloe (without frames), Daisy Surprise and Sunflower Bliss Marketplace because not only were they pretty but they reminded me so much of Van Gogh impressionism work.

Delivery was quick and packaged very well.  Provided was a Certificate of Authenticity for each print and pretty samples for future ordering.

I needed to refresh my small foyer and make it a little brighter and welcoming.  These prints were just perfect to place on my wall in the foyer.

The colours of the art prints were so vibrant and rich, the paper quality was superb and the frame was excellent.  They were the perfect addition to my home creating a more colourful and lively space for every time we (or guests) enter or leave our home.

  3. Nice selections! We just repainted the main floor and now I need things to fill these bare walls! Such a shame I have to pick new art…not!

  4. Minted does offer very nice artwork, I’ve been wanting a custom piece for my daughter’s bedroom which features family photos called Love You To The Moon & Back. The colors in your art are the essence of spring, so colorful!

  5. I love the concept of Minted and hope I can soon add some of their partner artists’s work on my walls.

  6. I collect art in a minor way.I only have 25 -30 pieces at any one time and I like to rotate it between different areas every Spring. It wakes me right up and makes the home a brand new place to live.
