I’ve smelled some of the best fragrances out there; however, there’s nothing that smells better than confidence.  The latest fragrance from Burberry is the perfect complement to every smart and stylish man’s wardrobe.

Introducing Mr. Burberry Eau de Parfum

Introducing the latest chapter in Burberry’s Mr. Burberry fragrance story, inspired by the anticipation of London at night – warm, sensual and woody.

Created by Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Bailey, working in collaboration with perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, Mr. Burberry Eau de Parfum is a deeper, more sensual interpretation of the iconic Mr. Burberry Eau de Toilette.

Mr. Burberry Eau de Parfum is inspired by the anticipation of London at night. Warm, sensual and woody, the fragrance fuses classic scents of British male perfumery. Aromatic top notes of tarragon with comforting, spicy cinnamon, are layered delicately on rich patchouli with a dense, woody base of amber and smokey vetiver.

The bottle honours the black Heritage Trench Coat and its
signature design details. Bold and masculine, the weighted cap references horn-look buttons, while a hand-tied knot in English-woven gabardine sits around the neck, celebrating the innovative fabric invented by Thomas Burberry more than 100 years ago. The dark lacquer bottle conveys the sensuality and warmth of the scent.

And if your man is like most men out there that tend to go a bit spritz-crazy, here some great tips for applying fragrances for both men and women (courtesy of Cosmopolitan).

Fragrance Tips

1. If you want your fragrances to last longer, don’t store them in your bathroom or other damp, warm places. Heat, light, and humidity will break down the perfume and lessen the quality of the fragrance. Instead, store them in cool, dry spots like on the vanity in your room and away from windows. Bonus tip: Use a pretty cake stand to display them.

2. Rub Vaseline on your pulse points before spraying your perfume to make the scent last longer. The ointment, which is occlusive, will hold the fragrance to your skin longer than if you were to spray it onto dry skin.
3. Apply an unscented lotion before your fragrance. Oily complexions retain fragrances longer, so if you have dry skin, use a moisturizer first to help lock in the scent.

4. Spray your perfume right after taking a shower and before getting dressed. The moisture on your skin will help lock in the scent. This will also prevent the fragrance from staining delicate clothes or jewelry.

6. Target pulse points and warm areas on your body when spraying perfume. To make your scent last longer, choose a couple target areas (not all of them at once) like: your wrists, inside your elbows, on your neck, below your midriff, behind your knees and on your ankles and calves. The warm areas will help diffuse the fragrance across your entire body and spraying your ankles and calves will allow the scent to rise throughout the day.

7. For a lighter scent, spray the fragrance in the air and slowly walk into the mist. The spray will distribute evenly across your body and leave you with a hint of fragrance for occasions when you don’t want to smell as strong.

8. Spraying an alcohol-based fragrance directly onto your hair will dry it out, so instead spray the fragrance on your brush before running it through your hair. Your hair will be lightly scented and undamaged.

    • What scent does he usually prefer (or do you?). Always best to have him spritz some on his skin and wait it out a few hours or a day to let the scent settle and see how it goes with his body chemistry. Fragrances always smell differently on each person.

  1. I love wearing perfume but in the summer, I find the wasps are constantly after me if I have it on. ARGH! I like your idea of spraying the fragrance in the air and slowly walk into the mist. I’m always conscience of not overdoing it when spraying it on me but I love this idea.

  2. Vaseline can make your scent last longer? Very cool. I don’t like overbearing scents either, but this one sounds nice. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Thanks for the tips.
I don’t wear perfume often because it is hard finding scents that dont give me a headache!

  4. My hubby has a tendency to overdo it with his current scent. This sounds like it might be more appealing to my senses :).
