My memory of natural, essential oils takes me back to the tender age of 10.
I had just gotten home from school and suffering from an agonizing stomach pain that had me in tears, sprawled across the living room floor.
My grandmother gently picked me up and laid me on the sofa, a bottle of very warm water in a jar in one hand and a small bottle of a clear liquid in another.
She lifted my shirt up and started rolling the jar of warm water up and down my stomach.
Surprisingly so, it brought me some instant, alleviating relief.
She then opened the small container of clear liquid and poured 2 drops on my stomach and started massaging in a circular motion. The smell of eucalyptus, peppermint, camphor, lavender and wintergreen filled the air around me and I began to feel a cool yet hot sensation on my stomach that completely eliminated my tummy pains.

It was since then, I had grown to follow in my grandma and mother’s footsteps of battling any ailments with natural products first before resorting to medication.

You can imagine my delight when I first learned of Saje Natural Wellness products.

Essential oils have remarkable therapeutic properties and have been used in traditional cultures for centuries to enhance physical, mental, and emotional states of being.

Saje’s 100% natural essential oils are distilled from various species of flowers, grasses, fruits, leaves, and trees.
Like me, they consider essential oils to be nature’s “life force”, as they capture the powerful healing qualities of the plants from which they are derived.
The sad truth is that many essential oils on the market can be nature-identical, synthetic, or adulterated in some way, and it takes the real thing in a 100% natural product to be truly effective and beneficial to health. To ensure they offer only the best quality essential oils available, they source their essential oils from all different corners of the world.

Love, love, LOVE.

On top of that, they combine pure essential oils with all-natural base ingredients to create 100% all-natural products that are free of parabens, SLS, SLES, PEGS, glycols, petrochemicals, synthetic colours and synthetic fragrances. All their products clearly state exactly what goes into it. Nothing to hide, just pure, healing awesomeness.

If you’re wondering where to start after looking through their wonderful selection of products, let me point you in the right direction.

Although very hard to pick a favourite, IF I had to choose which I find myself buying more of and absolutely love, it’s the Peppermint Halo Headache Remedy.
I get bad headaches and dizzy spells sometimes, especially when working in front of a computer writing more than half the day.
On top of that I get horrible motion sickness. Just a simple drive across town gets me nauseous.
My husband also suffers from horrible migraines. Skip the advil and whip out your Peppermint Halo!

A proven and effective remedy known as the “four minute miracle” for headache and migraine sufferers. The warming and cooling action works to reduce pain and pounding, while the sedative qualities relieve tension and balance the nerves.

My ultimate favourite must-have from Saje includes five of their best selling therapeutic remedy roll-ons – Peppermint Halo, Stress Release, Pain Release, Immune, and Eater’s Digest, the Pocket Pharmacy Kit.

It comes in a convenient pouch, perfect for carrying around in your purse or carry-on for travel.  It would make a great little gift or stocking stuffer for the upcoming holidays.  The Pocket Pharmacy kit retails for $49.95.

So if you’re like me and have some nights when sleep just doesn’t come as easy (even though you know you need it!), the Sleep Well Kit is the perfect companion on your bed stand.

Everything you need to relax a tired body, soothe a busy mind, and lull yourself into a deep and restful sleep. Lavender Bath Salts melt away the day’s stress and tension.
Sleep Well Roll On Remedy combines powerful essential oils with relaxant qualities that promote a deeper and more restful sleep – perfect for use right before bed time.
Tranquility Mist includes soothing essential oils that work wonders when sprayed lightly onto your pillow. Finally, block out the light and allow your tired eyes to rest with the softly scented Lavender Relaxation Eye Shade.
I personally love the Tranquility Mist!
The Sleep Well kit retails for $34.95.

Saje offers products for every ailment and need, they even have products for kids! Like their Owee Magic Balm, a 100% natural remedy to help soothe and heal cuts and bruises, Fairy Mist, a calming mist to help children wind down for sleep (oh yes, this is a GOOD thing! Plus how cute is the name?) and the Aroma Fairy, a 100% natural remedy to ease stress and anxiety in children.

Saje has plenty of locations across Canada and recently just opened one in Mississauga, Ontario and Winnipeg, Manitoba. They have many 3 more locations in Ontario, two in Toronto and one in Vaughan coming soon!

    • Hi Nancy – I’m sure you can but your best bet is to reach out to Saje directly to ensure the right oils are being used. Unfortunately I have never made soap with it or am very seasoned with essential oil usage to provide the best answer.
      Thanks for reading!

  1. I am just getting into oils and bought several oils from Saje this week. I’m just waiting for my son to get his next bad headache to see if they help him. My friend uses doTerra and tells me that Saje is much weaker and that I should switch to doTerra. But I like Saje’s prices, the fact that they are Canadian and that I can bring them home the day I buy them. The sales people I spoke with were also awesome and very helpful. Thoughts on doterra? What I’ve read leads me to believe that they build themselves up to be better than all the other companies out there, but they are really just the same….except they charge twice the price.

    • Hi Sarah,
Thanks for reading; I absolutely love my Saje essential oils. The peppermint halo has proven it works wonders for my husband who gets awful migraines and due to medications he’s on, is unable to take Tylenol or Advil.
I’ m just a big advocate for natural remedies.
As for doterra, I am unable to provide an accurate observation as I haven’t exclusively used it.
Once I do, I will gladly share my experience further and help differentiate the two. Hope you find the answers you need!
