I am constantly on the go.
Walking, hopping, skipping, jumping, but for the most part running (sometimes out of patience) and usually after a fast and feisty two year old or precocious six year old.
Motherhood certainly has me on my feet often and that includes my other day-to-day activities like running to the store to pick up a few items, heading to the spa to get a quick manicure in or facial (if I’m lucky!) or even just hitting my local Chapters for a tea and browsing.

I will admit this to you all: I am usually not the runners type of gal.
I believe Victoria Beckham said it best: “I can’t concentrate in flat shoes.”
Well, unless they’re super cute ballet flats, to which I have grown accustom to over the past few years with children.
Let’s not get it mistaken — I still pride myself in the ability to walk miles with a stroller in heels. Perhaps not stiletto’s, but still quite impressive right?
Yes, my friends. I love my heels and I just cannot part with them. They have become part of my lifestyle.
And the thought of being in runners often did make me cringe at one point. I thought they were best left at the gym where they should be.
That was until I was introduced to New Balance’s Minimus Collection.

New Balance Women’s WX20v3 Minimus Cross-Training Shoes

Vibrant, girly (they have different colours available), light-weight yet still tough enough for the road and very comfortable!  I honestly feel like I’m bare-foot at times.
These shoes (despite the awkward toe design) fit like a glove and true to my shoe size.
I have been doing a lot of running and with older brands, I found some discomfort in my feet afterwards.
These shoes offer great traction and support — I’ve never had better arch support until I started wearing my New Balance shoes!

More features:

  • Synthetic-and-mesh
  • Vibram sole
  • 4mm heel-to-toe drop
  • No-sew application
  • Antimicrobial treatment to reduce odor
  • Vibram® outsole (Vibram® outsole provides maximum surface contact and multi-directional traction)
  • Weight: 5.0 oz (146g)
  • Stability and protection are offered with a minimal drop for a barefoot experience and good form training.

What a motivation to keep running towards my fitness and health goals than with a good pair of shoes?
Am I right, stylish ladies and gents?
I am still working on boosting my fitness regime but I am more motivated than ever.
A step at a time, right?

  1. I have been lost when it comes to finding a good shoe. I wear runners most of the time as heels for me are just not practical. I buy a shoe to last so I search mainly for leather. Tennis shoes were my go to wearable when my kids were little. They were cheap , machine washable and came in assorted colors. I also have my Adidas my first pair lasted 20 years. My husband bought me another pair last Christmas so I am expecting another 20 years lol.I wasn’t too crazy about their choice of white for me (nurse like )but they are comfortable! I am not much for bright colored shoes but maybe New Balance has solid or toned down shades I might like. I need good arch support and I would like a lighter shoe my darling Adidas are heavy.

  2. Just got my first ever pair of New Balance this week and already love them as well!! I would normally just buy nike but decided to try something different, I had also read some great reviews so decided to go for it and I’m glad I did.

  3. I love New Balance runners, I have been buying them for over 20 years. I like that they make a D width and I can go in and walk out wearing a new pair of runners. That do not give me blisters. Great for being on my feet all day at work.

  4. How are they holding up now that you’ve had a time to wear them?
They look nice and lightweight I like that.

  5. Those shoes look wicked cool! I have heard of New Balance before but haven’t had the chance to check them out, I think I need to do some shopping!

  6. These look like very nice runners, your review was awesome and it’s great to hear that it’s like your not even wearing them, that right there is a bonus!!

  7. I’ve never tried New Balance Runners before but I’ve heard they are very good. I’m due for a new pair soon and I will be checking them out.
