If you’re planning a stay to visit the World’s most majestic natural wonder, Niagara Falls, stop your search for where to stay, and get ready for family fun for all at Falls Avenue Resort in Ontario.
Located directly across the Falls, the 20 acre complex features first class hotels, dining and attractions galore! Situated right in the heart of the tourist district, this is the perfect spot for guests of all ages, and for all types of travelers.
My husband and I absolutely LOVE visiting Niagara Falls and have stayed at many hotels in Niagara Falls over the years, but it was our first time staying at the Sheraton on the Falls.
What made it extra special during our recent stay was that it was our first time with our toddler son in Niagara Falls as well (not sure why it took us longer than anticipated to visit!).
Our daughter has been with us plenty of times before and usually we stayed on Clifton Hill (also a fun spot situated just outside the hotel).
I have to say, after our stay at Sheraton on the Falls, this will definitely be our go-to hotel for every stay — we LOVED it so much!
Clean and spacious rooms (plus a mini fridge which is a big bonus with kids!) with comfortable and fresh bedding (I’m very particular about this!), amazing views, quick and friendly concierge and check-in/out, and guest services were fantastic! Considering how busy they are, their courteous and prompt services remained the same.
Everything, and I mean everything you could possibly want to do in Niagara Falls and enjoy for each member of the family is right at your fingertips and only just a few steps away. Did I mention you can access all the attractions and restaurants by simply just an elevator drop-off?
Everything is linked together and with little ones, that’s fantastic! Especially during not-so-great weather condition.
During our stay, it was overcast, chilly and raining/snowing so it was nice that we were able to walk indoors to reach our destinations of choice.
My kids really enjoyed Fallsview Indoor Waterpark, Hershey’s Chocolate World, Iwerks 4-D Motion Theatre and Adventure City.
My kids love the water and having a toddler that doesn’t know how to swim yet and a daughter that does and loves it, I have ease of mind at Fallsview Indoor Waterpark.
3 acres of waterpark fun for the entire family, Fallsview Indoor Waterpark is North America’s largest indoor waterpark and has been voted #1 Amusement park & Waterpark in Canada on TripAdvisor and for good reason!
It features 16 slides, from mild to extreme for the more adventurous, a giant wave pool, mammoth “Beach House” Play area, Tiny Tots Splash Park (which was perfect for my son), year round outdoor activity pool and sundeck, Planet Hollywood Beach Club and so much more!
And big bonus — the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark is connected via indoor walkway to the Sheraton on the Falls, Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls-Fallsview and Skyline Inn. How convenient is that?
Adventure City is a 17,000 square foot game centre featuring more than 125 classic arcade-style games, allowing you to collect and redeem game tickets for exclusive souvenirs and merchandise. Adventure City also offers a number of fun and interactive rides, such as the Adventure Heroes Laser Ride, and the Traffic Slam Bumper Cars- the only bumper cars in Niagara Falls.
You can also head out on a fun-filled safari at the Glow in the Dark Wild Safari Mini Putt.
And for those that want their sugar fix (puts my hands way up), the Hershey’s Chocolate World is a must-visit!
If you’re feeling lucky, Casino Niagara is ready to welcome you with 95,000 square feet and two floors of gaming fun and excitement.
There’s also an abundance of great restaurants for Fallsview Dining, including the prestigious AAA/CAA 4-Diamond Award winning Windows by Jamie Kennedy, exquisite dining by renowned chef, Massimo Capra, at The Rainbow Room by Massimo Capra and the newly renovated Fallsview Buffet featuring a delectable buffet, live action stations and a breath-taking view.
If you’re seeking Themed Dining, no shortage here! Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood and Rainforest Cafe are just outside your door plus a Starbucks Coffee in the lobby of Sheraton on the Falls. Located just between the Hard Rock Cafe and Crowne Plaza in the Casino Niagara atrium, you’ll also find the Terrace Food Court which offers Pizza Hut, KFC, Subway and The Great Canadian Burger Company for quick snacks or meals on-the-go.
*big exhale* Ran out of breath just writing about of all this exciting goodness. That’s how much there is to do and I assure you that you will leave this place even more in love with Niagara Falls than before, if that’s even possible.
As in every hotel review, I like to make honest mentions of any issues or cons I came across during my stay and in all honesty, there really wasn’t anything that sets any red flags or were of concern for me at all. I guess earlier check-ins would be great (4PM may be a little late for my liking but great thing is they can often accommodate early check-in and late check-out requests). They exceeded my expectations overall.
Oh, and let’s not forget the impeccable and first-class view you get of both the Canadian Falls and American Falls right from your room! I can get use to falling asleep and waking up to this view — amazing.
There truly is Like Nowhere Else like Falls Avenue Resort. New memories to cherish and so much fun await you and your family. I cannot wait to come back again!
