And once you take a bite out of their SOCO To Go pastries, you’ll surely be frequenting this place more often when in the South-Core.
Two words: Paris Brest.
Actually, every single pastry I had was delicious here, however if you’re stuck on deciding, Paris Brest would certainly be my recommendation for first choice.
If you’re looking for a contemporary space to kick back and enjoy a pure Canadian Whiskey experience (the first of it’s kind in Toronto), have a seat at Char NO. 5 Whisky Bar.
I checked in recently with my husband for a romantic weekend getaway in the city.
Because we rarely get in, we like to ensure we are staying somewhere comfortable and central so we can take advantage of the what the booming and exciting city of Toronto has to offer.
The Delta Toronto hotel only made so much sense!
It’s within walking distance to the Air Canada Centre, Rogers Centre, Ripley’s Aquarium and C.N. Tower and connected to PATH. And not too far away, you have the harbourfront, St. Lawrence Market, the Distillery District and a plethora of restaurants.
Our hotel room was the deluxe corner suite with King bed (perfect for a couple!) and the moment I stepped into the room, I was happily satisfied.
The room was so cozy and warm and bedding was very clean; everything I needed for an overnight stay was there including access to free wifi featuring SmartDesk™, a multi-purpose area that provides a built-in power and connectivity dock and links from laptop and mobile devices to a flat-screen, high-definition TV.
Every guest room has this feature!
Although it’s hard to keep your eyes on your phone when you’ve got such an exceptional view.
Highly recommend you request a room in the corner AND on a higher floor.
Here’s my favourite reason why…
Wow, wow, wow, wow!
That is one incomparable and phenomenal hotel view!
I call it the Towering Tub of Wonder.
On top of an extremely long bubble bath, I had to convince my husband that we should have our dinner in the tub by candlelight. He didn’t go for it but it would’ve been awesome!
It’s pretty ironic considering I’m afraid of heights. I think Delta Toronto’s Towering Tub of Wonder may have helped me conquer by fear of heights.
If you prefer showers, the guest room also includes a stand-up shower in the bathroom as well.
In the thriving new Toronto South-Core scene, the Delta Toronto is a great choice for a romantic getaway, for business and for families.
To assist families with younger children, Delta’s Family Program is designed to keep their younger guests well entertained while during their stay.
Children 17 and under stay free when accompanied by a parent or guardian in the same room.
Guests 6 and under eat free from the children’s menu, which includes an assortment of delectable healthy entrées, while guests aged 7–12 eat for half price from the regular menu.
On top of this, Delta Toronto also provides these just-in-case extras:
- Mini fridges to accommodate snacks or medication
- Playpens, high chairs and booster seats upon request
Check out there great packages here. A little birdie told me that another family-friendly package is currently in the works!
Exciting! I will definitely be booking something with the kids soon.
