The May Long Weekend is near and if you’re still thinking about what to do in and around the city with your family, here are a few of my favourite hot spots for Victoria Day Long Weekend!

Victoria Day Fireworks at Ashbridges Bay

Victoria Day Fireworks

The only fireworks display in Toronto on Victoria Day this year will be taking place at Ashbridges Bay Park (Coxwell Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard, Toronto) at 9.45 pm, rain or shine. The best way to get there is to take the 501 streetcar, get off at Kingston and Queen and then just walk to the bay! The display is going to be a 14 minute long affair with some seriously spectacular light shows and pyrotechnics. Be forewarned: Parking and traffic is crazy! Plan accordingly.

Harbourfront Centre

This is the perfect place to experience everything you need in once place: Food, Music, Theatre, Serene Views, Culture – it’s all here!
Lots of fun events for the family! Check out their event listings here.

Plus for Victoria Day Long Weekend, they will have The Toronto International Circus Festival!
Come experience the magic of the circus! Discover acrobats and jugglers, comedians and jesters. Transform yourself into a clown, create a few crafts and take a turn at tumbling. This weekend is all about you. So bring your sense of adventure!
Location: 235 Queens Quay Waterfront

Foodie Tours

Foodies on Foot is an organization that puts together fun and creative food tours that let people experience Toronto’s food like an insider. Their upcoming 501 streetcar food tour is among the best food tours that make an incredible way to experience food over a long weekend.
