When my husband and I found out I was expecting our firstborn after months of infertility treatments, we were over the moon!

Naturally with most first pregnancies, along with pure excitement, a mother’s brain is in overdrive of what’s to be expected and what she needs to prepare for her new bundle of joy.
What vitamins should I be taking?
Will prenatal yoga really help with labour?
Will colouring my hair affect my baby?
Should I use a mid-wife?
How will I decorate the nursery?
What do I need once the baby’s born?

So many questions!
But mom, it’s completely alright. Your guarding and nurturing maternal instincts latches the moment that little bean inside of you is created. For some, even before.
Amazing, isn’t it? It can be unnerving but absolutely fascinating.

To help make new mom and baby’s arrival a lot smoother, baby showers are always a welcome event!
Have you started your baby registry yet?
I remember opening my first baby registry — I was like a kid in a candy store (or better yet a pregnant woman in a candy store).
The thrill had me adding almost an entire store because of course I needed that lovely pink bedazzled frame to put my little girl’s first picture in or that cool-looking baby toy.
Hands up! Slowly put the scanner down and step away from the overpriced personalized porcelain piggy bank.
I’m here to save you time, money and sanity (from purging all those additional items you really and truly did not need from your baby shower).
Great news! Walmart Canada has officially launched their newest Baby Registry on walmart.ca!

  1. I tried to say what gift I bought so it would come off the list, but there was no way to do it online. Nobody took any gifts off of the registry, so it looks like nobody bought anything. It can’t be that hard to do, can it. Please tell people how to do it.
