Confession: I am obsessed with stuffing.
When the holidays roll around, while everyone is excitedly anticipating the turkey, honeyed ham, dessert, and mashed potatoes and sweet yams, I am salivating at the thought of the stuffing.
It may basically be bread with seasonings to you, but oh-my, not in my home and special gatherings — Stuffing is the superstar.

My Turkey wild rice stuffing is an entire holiday meal in one: deliciously seasoned ground turkey mixed with wild rice, stuffing and hints of cranberry (thanks to the cranberry sauce).  And what makes this dish even better is that it’s super QUICK to make (because who really wants to spend extra time in the kitchen during the holiday rush?).
Okay so another confession: I use boxed stuffing mix. The good stuff and trust me, equally DELICIOUS.

Enjoy our family stuffing favourite this coming holiday season!

Wild Rice Turkey Stuffing #Recipe

  • - 2 packages of Stove Top Turkey Stuffing Mix
  • - 1 package of Uncle Ben's Classiques Long Grain & Wild Rice
  • - 1 lb of ground turkey
  • - 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • - 1 tsp salt
  • - 1 tsp pepper
  • - 2 Tbsp Cranberry sauce
  • - parsley and fresh cranberries for topping

  1. 1) Cook the stuffing mix and rice packages (in separate pots) first and then when cooked, set aside to cool.
  2. 2) Add canola oil to pan, cook garlic for 2 minutes (do not let get brown), add ground turkey, salt and pepper and cook.
  3. 3) In a casserole dish, combine the stuffing, rice, turkey and cranberry sauce and mix well. Add additional salt & pepper to taste (if you need more flavour).
  4. 4) If you would like to add some colour for presentation purposes (and a little extra flavour), you may top with some fresh cranberries and parsley.
